1. Data we collect
By default this site sets one cookie of its own. It is called mtc_lang and remembers which language version you are reading. All it stores is the language code, meaning de, en or pl. It contains no personal data, cannot be used to recognise you as a person, and expires after twelve months. Legal basis section 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG together with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Google Ads cookies are set only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner (see point 3). Without your consent the Google tag is not loaded and no advertising cookies are set. Your choice is stored in a strictly necessary cookie called mtc_consent. You can change or withdraw it at any time: open cookie settings.
There is no classic server-side logging of personal data and no advertising profiling. When you open the site, technically necessary data is transmitted to our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.): IP address, date and time of request, requested URL, browser user-agent. Netlify stores this data anonymised for up to 30 days (legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in security and stability).
2. Analytics (GoatCounter)
We use GoatCounter for privacy-friendly visitor statistics. GoatCounter sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and does not track individuals across sites. Only aggregated, anonymous page-view counts are collected (path, referrer, browser language, screen resolution). Legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can self-exclude by appending ?gc-exclude=1 to any URL.
3. Google Ads conversion tracking
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how our adverts perform (provider: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The Google tag it needs is loaded only if you have first consented in the cookie banner. Only then is your IP address transmitted to Google and only then may Google set cookies to attribute an earlier ad click to later actions on this site (page views, newsletter signup). If you decline or make no choice, none of this happens. Legal basis Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent); you can withdraw it at any time with future effect via the cookie settings.
4. Contact and bookings
AI Persona Freelance Recruitment & TA StrategyFree getting-to-know-you calls are booked via Zeeg (provider: Zeeg GmbH, Berlin). When you book, your name, email and chosen time are transmitted to Zeeg and to Andreas Schulz. Legal basis Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Email contact (andreas.schulz@morethancareer.de) is processed under the same basis.
5. Newsletter
The "Inner Circle" newsletter can be subscribed to from the home page. We send it with MailerLite (MailerLite Ireland Ltd., Ground Floor, 71 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin, D02 P593, Ireland). A double opt-in applies: after you submit the form you receive an email with a confirmation link, and your address is added to the list only once you click it. If you do not confirm, the address is not used further and is deleted after a short time. Your email address is stored at MailerLite and used only to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the foot of every email. Legal basis Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
6. AI assistant
The site offers an AI assistant in a chat window. It is labelled as an AI at first contact, which Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires. What you type is sent to Anthropic PBC (548 Market St, PMB 90375, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) together with excerpts from published articles on this site, so that a model can compose an answer. Transfer to the USA rests on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and Anthropic's data processing addendum, under which inputs and outputs are not used to train models. The conversation lives in your browser tab only and is gone when you close it; we store no chat logs and no transcripts. One exception: when a question cannot be answered from the articles published here, the assistant searches the web through the same provider. That question is then stored together with the answer, so the same question can be answered next time without searching again. Only the question text and the answer are stored, with no IP address, no identifier and no link to your session, and the entry is discarded after 30 days. Please do not type personal details into the chat window. Your IP address is processed briefly to limit abuse and is not stored. Do not enter health data, contract documents or other sensitive personal information. Legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering visitor questions). If you would rather not use it, simply do not open the chat window.
7. Payments and subscription (Stripe)
The AI coach subscription is handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (The One Building, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland). Clicking a subscribe button sends you to a payment page operated by Stripe. What you enter there, in particular your email address, billing address and payment details, is processed by Stripe as its own controller and at the same time as our processor. We never see or store card data. From Stripe we receive what we need for invoicing, bookkeeping and managing your access. All this server keeps is your subscription identifier, the Stripe customer identifier, the plan you chose, its status and the date access is paid up to. Your name, your email address and your payment details are not held here. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract), and for retaining invoice records Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR together with the statutory commercial and tax retention periods. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
8. Hosting (Netlify)
Hosted by Netlify, Inc., 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. Data transfer to the USA is on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and Netlify's DPA.
9. Google Fonts
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd., Dublin). Your IP address is transmitted to Google on page load. Legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). Competent supervisory authority for Berlin: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Friedrichstr. 219, 10969 Berlin.
11. Updates
Current version: August 2026. We may update this policy as legal or technical conditions change.
